Day One - Fly To Las Vegas / Get Acquainted Dinner
Arrive at the Las Vegas airport and meet your tour manager. Board your private motorcoach and visit the nearby Ethel M Chocolate factory for a tour & sample. Check into your hotel located on the Strip across from Caesar’s Palace, Bellagio, and the Paris hotels. Tonight, enjoy a cocktail on top of the 600’ Stratosphere Tower prior to your Get Acquainted Dinner. (D) Flamingo Las Vegas
Day Two - Free Day In Las Vegas
Enjoy a free day to gamble, relax by the pool, shop at Caesar’s Roman Forum, go up in the Eiffel Tower, play golf, see the free Bellagio fountains or Treasure Island Pirate Show, ride the NEW 5 mile long monorail, or take a day trip to Hoover Dam. (B)
Day Three - Backstage Tour / Rat Pack Show / Night Tour
Enjoy a “Behind the Scenes” tour of the popular Jubilee floorshow at Bally’s Hotel. Tonight, see the live music show “Tribute to the Rat Pack” starring Frank, Dean, Sammy, and Joey. Then see the “Neon Jungle” come alive on your special night driving tour of the Strip. (B)
Day Four - Coach From Las Vegas To San Diego
Today, you’ll motor across the scenic Mojave Desert from Nevada to California. Enjoy stops at the historic 1915 Riverside Mission Inn, an architectural wonder and host to 6 American Presidents, and a tour and tasting at a famous winery in Temecula Wine Country. Arrive in San Diego and your modern, high-rise hotel for 5 nights located in the heart of the Mission Valley near many shops, restaurants, & the red car trolleys. (B) Holiday Inn Select
Day Five - San Diego City Tour
See the old & the new in San Diego on our city tour. See Old Town with its Spanish adobe homes, Balboa Park (home of 2 world’s fairs); tour the Aerospace Museum (home to the Spirit of St. Louis replica), and tour the Hotel del Coronado (famed 1888 Victorian seaside resort). This afternoon, we will tour brand new Petco Baseball Park, said to be one of the finest in America. Finish the afternoon with a drink at the 40th floor lounge of the downtown Hyatt Manchester Hotel – what a view! Tonight, enjoy dinner at a fine local restaurant. (B, D)
Day Six - Carlsbad / La Jolla / Harbor Cruise / USS Midway
Variety awaits you today as we drive north to Carlsbad, home of Legoland & flower fields. Choose between shopping at the Factory Outlet stores or a tour of a golf club or ball factory such as Calloway, TaylorMade, or Titleist. Then drive past the Del Mar Racetrack of Bing Crosby fame to the seaside village of La Jolla. Motor past many opulent homes. This afternoon, you will drive through San Diego’s beach communities en route to Pt. Loma and the Cabrillo Monument viewpoint. Later enjoy a one hour narrated harbor cruise followed by a tour of the newly opened USS Midway aircraft carrier of WWII fame. (B)
Day Seven - Wild Animal Park
Visit one of San Diego’s top attractions – the Wild Animal Park. Located 25 miles north east of downtown, the Park is truly a unique and unforgettable experience. Set on 1800 acres of rolling hills, the Park is home to over 3200 “free roaming” animals divided into large fenced off natural habitat areas that represent Africa, Asia, & South America. Pass through Nairobi Village and board the Wgasa Bush Line Monorail for a narrated tour through the Park. See the Lion Camp, Bird Aviary, and two animal shows. Return to your hotel before an included dinner. (B, D)
Day Eight - Military Base Tour / Free Time / Farewell Dinner
Enjoy a morning tour of a San Diego Military Base such as the Miramar Marine Air Station, North Island Naval Base, or SEAL Amphibious Training Facility (subject to availability & security check). Lunch will be included at the Officer’s Club. This afternoon will be free time – take in Seaworld, the San Diego Zoo, visit nearby Tijuana, Mexico (passport necessary), shop at Fashion Valley, or just relax around the hotel pool.
