Outline:

Day 1  Arrive in Windsor from Detroit.  Option to visit the Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village and/or Ford Rouge Factory tour in Detroit first.  Cruise the Detroit River from either American or Canadian side seeing the skylines of Detroit to the north and Windsor to the south.  Lunch on board.  Visit to Canadian Club Centre for tour, tasting and sample of Canadian whiskey.  Check into hotel.  Time to stroll along the riverfront in Windsor, including the Odette Sculpture Park..  Dinner.  After nightfall  witness the Peace Fountain’s floating  light and water display.  Casino Windsor available for those interested.

Day 2  Breakfast.   Follow the Detroit River to its Lake Erie mouth to Amherstburg.  We have option to visit the North American Black Historic Museum and Cultural Centre and/or Fort Malden, the remnants of the second British fort rebuilt after the War of 1812 and a key defensive post during the Rebellion of 1837.  Lunch.   We now proceed to Point Pelee National Park which resounds with hundreds of migrating song birds in the spring, hums with cicadas during the summer, and drips  Monarch butterflies in the fall.  Time to go to the end of the point that juts out into Lake Erie and/or take a stroll on the marsh boardwalk.  Option for wine tasting at local winery.  Dinner and overnight.

Day 3  Breakfast.  This morning we visit the RM Classic Cars, 37,000 sq. ft with its one of a kind classics and rare automobiles and see a demonstration on the art of restoration.  Next we visit the Buxton National Historic Site and Museum, the last remaining pre-civil black settlement in Canada.  Later we visit Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site, commemorates the life of Reverend Josiah Henson and his contributions to the Underground Railroad.   Followed by Soul Food Dinner and Gospel Singing.
Overnight

Day 4  Breakfast.  Visit the site of first oil discovery in North America  Bayfield and time to explore and shop this village on Lake Huron.  Lunch  Stop at Blyth Leather and Wool outlet.  Option to take in Blyth Festival Theatre with its great laughter and heartfelt tears.   Proceed to Sarnia to cross border into Port Huron, MI and onto Detroit.
