Day 1 Arrive Waterloo Region (Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge)
Dinner at local German club, overnight
Day 2 Tour the Toyota automotive plant, which has won many awards. Option to visit town of Elora, witness the beautiful gorge or follow the Art Walk. Option to visit Doon Heritage Crossroads, a day in the life of 1914 rural village. Off to Wings of Paradise for lunch and to walk among the butterflies. In the afternoon we visit Woodside, the boyhood home of William Lyon MacKenzie King, the longest serving and 10th Prime Minister of Canada. Dinner at local country inn.
Day 3 Visit St. Jacob’s Markets and the outlet mall followed by the craft shops in the village including Maple Syrup Museum and Quilt Gallery. After lunch we attend the Festival Theatre play “Sorry…I’m Canadian” (when in season) Option to visit African Lion Safari. End our day with Mennonite tour (Amish) including traversing the only covered bridge in Ontario. Tonight we celebrate Oktoberfest.
Day 4 Depart for the United States.
